Subjects requirements:

• Minimum NSC requirements for degree entry must be met. • English (Home Language or First Additional Language) AND Afrikaans or isiXhosa (Home Language or First Additional Language). • Mathematics – 45% (except if Geography is selected, then 60% for Mathematics is required). • Mathematical Literacy – 60%, or Technical Maths – 60% (not applicable if Geography is selected which requires Mathematics). Please note that in order to specialise in any of the following FET specialisations, an applicant must have taken the subject up to Gr 12 level and passed at the percentage (%) indicated below: • English, Afrikaans, isiXhosa (Home Lang or 1st Add Lang) – 55% - if  language is selected as a FET specialisation. • History – 55%, • Geography – 55%.

Graduates are required to register with the Health Professional Council of South Africa (HPCSA) before they can practice as a Dietitian.
