• Minimum NSC statutory requirements for diploma entry must be met. • Mathematics or Technical Mathematics – 40%, or Mathematical Literacy – 60%.

Bachelor of Nursing

This programme prepares students to meet the unique needs of individual patients, families and communities as a professional nurse and midwife. Practical work is an integral part of this programme. The programme comprises lectures on campus and clinical practicals in nearby general, maternity and psychiatric hospitals, and in community health fields. Practical placements are arranged for students by the Department of Nursing Sciences. This is supplemented by clinical teaching in a clinical simulated laboratory and in actual patient situations.

Marine Engineering is the discipline of applying engineering sciences (including mechanical, electrical, electronics) and computer science, to the development, design, operation, and maintenance of ships and related watercraft, including propulsion and on-board systems. The Marine Engineering discipline integrates and applies high levels of engineering science to the area of naval architecture and marine structures. Naval architecture broadly refers to the design of ships and marine structures.
